Nismo n1 block?

Hi all
Just looking for a little info regarding the nismo n1 block.

What do you actually get with this is it just the casing or do you get crank pistons etc.?

Hope some1 could shed some light on this for me.
Thanks

I believe;

N1 blocks were actually the original RB26 casting.
In later 32;s they blocks had materal removed, possibly to save money, I'm not sure.?
But these were not as strong and the older blocks were prefered for racing, hence they later became know and N1 blocks after the racing class.
I am not sure if the the differecnce are external and so easily spottted, as I have never compared the two.

The reason i ask this i have a feeling the bottom end has gone and dont really no what approach to take with reagrads to fixing it. replace the nekered barrings with standard nissan 1s or buy a jun/trust/hks/nismo aftermarket unit im on a budget of about 6k stearling.

Maybe you could consider the Nismo GT Block (2.8 Kai).

You can buy the engine that Nismo used in the last R34 special - the Z tune!! it is called the Z2. check out Nengun for pricing and details (I'd love to get one of them!)

http://www.nengun.com/catalogue/product/538
New Nismo N1 GT Race Engine Block 2.8 Litre Bore size 86 mm diameter.
This engine block is the same one used in the R34GT-R Z-tune.

Because of the weight, we ship this part via sea freight. Please contact us for more details. The shipping price on this site is a handling charge which will be deducted of the sea freight.

http://www.nengun.com/catalogue/product/540
Nismo GT Con Rod Spec 1 and 2

http://www.nengun.com/catalogue/product/539
Nismo GT Crank Shaft 8 counter waist type

This unit if requsted can be sent via sea freight

(note - you may need to register on nengun before you see the details and pricing).

You can always get a kit or crate engine from any of the Jap tuning companies

Don't want to burst your bubble but it's 6 months wait for a GT block unfortunately.
The Nismo Z-tune short engine retails in Japan for about 1 million yen so 6k GBP budget probably wont make it either since there is a lot more work than just buying the engine.

Is pistons crank etc included in this would be able to afford that id say?

the 538 is just the block, you need the other bit's.

Here's the write-up on the indvudual parts:
http://www.poweraxel.com/nismo/news/...5/n050006.html

or a Short Block (i.e. all of the bottom stuff)

http://www.poweraxel.com/nismo/news/...5/n050005.html

Bean, are they going to make these for a while or are they Ltd edition, I know they said there only going to make ~100 month

priced from Nengun the block is (in Australian dollars) $2900, crank $3400 and rods $225 each.... so a LOT less than 6k stirling for just the block that's why I'd like one

Tris, you would also need pistons, rings, bearings & gaskets

Dan00h - That's why I said the short engine retails for 1 million yen (not the block).
However - the block has a 6-month waiting list at the moment

Toby - They don't seem to be a limited set of parts - there are still a lot of RB26s around that need refreshes/rebuilds since there is no new GTR for people to buy.
