Why not TE37s!?
I found some TE37s for sale that are for r33 and r34 gtr though I want to put them on my 32gtr...the seller says they won't fit is there a reason for this I though the fitment on gtrs was the same i.e. 5x114.3 and offset above 12 (as long as it clears callipers)
These are 18x9.5 and offset +12 Why won't they fit ? (I don't really understand offsets anyways) Cheers Adam |

et12 will stick out quite a bit, might fit but the seller is probably just saying they won't for safety, R32 GTR fitment is 17x9 et18 to et22, although quite a few people have lower offsets and have had no problems.

Thanks Alex
Do you mean stick out of the arches ? If I go Higher (i.e et30 or more) than the recommended offset you mentioned does that mean the wheels will hide inside the arches. Cheers Adam Last edited by Lono9885; 14th July 2005 at 09:58 AM. |

Hmm so a +36 at the front and +37 at the rear offset would be wrong aswell as there's another set with these?
How far out would the et12 be on the 32 has anyone any experiance of this or even the other way at values like et37 ? Cheers |

The figures are in mm, so an ET12 would stick out 8mm further than say an ET20. But this is only for wheels of the same width, as the measurement its taken from the middle of the wheel. Of course you can work it out, but its easier to put numbers into
offset calculator and get the results the easy way ![]() |

Cool cheers for that Lee..
Seems my current wheels are 17x9" and i think the offset must be between 18 and 22 at a guess but the seem to fit fine. If i go down to et12 on a 9.5" it'll mean the wheels stick out 1.4mm further roughly which doesn't sound too much to me |

Think you meant 1.4 cm - 14mm.
I dont have a 32GTR so cant really help, but on my S14 on 9J ET20 (off an R32) the difference between it rubbing and being fine is as small as changing the tyres from the 255s I got them with to 235's. Im sure there will be someone here though who would know if the wheels are likely to go on ok though. |

I have 18x9.5 Work Emotion CR Kai with 22mm offset on my BNR32 and they just fit the rear arches. I would not want any less offset on a rim of this width on a 32.
It just doesn't look right when the wheels stick out of the arch. |

I was in this situation with offsets when I was buying my wheels, so I know what a nightmare it is trying to find out for sure. I am not going to give you a definitive yes or no I'm afraid, but here's my set-up.
Volk TE37, 9.5 x 19, offset +22, tyres are 265/30/19. 1990 R32 GTR, (HICAS locked and suspension lowered). I have no spacers or anything, and the car has been lowered a fair bit to be honest. The pictures below show the wheels after lowering but before my geometry was sorted, so they are running with a fair bit of negative camber in the photos. This has since been corrected, (made a massive difference to driveability), and now the tops of the wheels are a little further out towards the arch lip by a couple of degrees. Rear: ![]() Front: ![]() Front is fine, but at the back, with 265 tyres, there really is not a lot of room. You could possibly go with a lower offset if you ran a narrower tyre, but that sort of defeats the object. If you really want the wheels, it might be worth going round to the seller and trial fitting them, saying you'll have them if they go round and round without making scraping noises. If this isn't possible, then I would have to agree with the seller I think, and suggest that they won't fit on for normal road use. Its a lot of money to risk if they don't fit, (but you could then sell them on ).Its your call dude, that's about as much advice as I can give you. ![]() |
