Its nobs like that ..... that are f'#king the market up ....

I'd rather watch mine rot than let it go for peanuts...... Good cars hold their value regardless of weather a skyline or not....

I've seen Mk2 escorts go for 10K where you can get 5h1tters for peanuts...

Dont be bullied!!! ..... F;'k em.... you want it ... pay for it !!

Rant over ... thanks for listening...

Even at what some people consider a bargain price, has that car sold? Why is it owners club memebers have unrealistic ideas of what their cars are worth? same happens on the Supra forums. i had a lady ask me to value her 94 MKIV TT Supra over the phone. She started going on about all the mods, and various bull, and i just KNEW she expected an unrealsitic price. A 94 auto with iffy body kit, i suggested 6,000 UK pounds, 7,000 if she was lucky. She sounded offended... But that's the rwal market value. Lots of unsold Skylines keeping the market price up.... I got grief over what i sold a nice GTS-t for a few months back. All the people yelling "TOO CHEAP" never bought the damned thing to make a profit out of, and I suspect the same thing is happening with this guys realistic asking price, too. All IMO.

Traders are quite often just as unrealistic of what cars are worth .

At the end of the day, if a buyer isn't in a desperate rush to sell he'll try to maximise his sale, if the car is a minter quite often someone will be prepared to pay the extra, and this extra may be peanuts compared to the potential cost of buying a shitter. Unfortunately the trade doesn't really distinguish enough between minters and shitters imho based on quite a few years in the motor trade.

Ultimately, the car is worth what someone is willing to pay. Sellers will all have different needs, some will be prepared to take less down to circumstances which is a pity for them but good news for buyers. Some cars are justifiably cheap around other seemingly similar cars, the reasons for this often become apparent a short time after owning the car for some unfortunate buyers.

Pay your money and take your choices, you can usually spot a crap one fairly quickly on a viewing, the cost of which to put right, easily outcosts the pricier ones.

My 2p.

Talking

Reason I've put my car up at that price is that IMHO it reflects the value of the car, even at this price I'm still getting ridiculous offers, I want to sell it QUICK, not give the damn thing away

I know that some may be a trifle annoyed at the price, but it really is a buyers market

So calm your s*** down, if the cars worth it, you'll get what you want

I am not going to respond to this thread anymore as it puts my sale in a bad light. The problem isn't that the car is a shed, it's that I have only had 3 viewers, 1 of them bought it and bounced a cheque on me, 1 of them was a tyre kicker and the last guy went for a 450BHP one as he wanted it for track days, even though he loved mine.

I have started a new thread.
