SLIGHT DET AT 2K, ANY IDEAS???

Im getting slight detonation at 1800-2000rpm. It seems to happen when say im following someone at around 30mph and i then gently 'adjust' the throttle just to maintain this slow speed. no boost whatso ever obviously. At higher rpm or generaly booting it up through the box i dont get any det.
Any idea's guys?
Ive tried an ecu reset and using optimax with millers OB.
Would dirty AFM's cause this?
Thanks for any suggestions

How do you know it is det (is an Apexi fitted to show the knock)? Is it pinging etc?

Hi m8, i hav'nt got an AFC so ive not got any indication of knock but it certainly sounds like very light dettonation. Anything above 2 grand it goes away/stops.
I cleaned the AFMs tonight, they were prety dirty. Yellow HKS filters at the moment and they let to much shite through. The slight 'ping' is still there though. I thought that the dirt on the AFMs would cause it to under read, but as i say its still there
I gota get some Apexi filters ASAP for a start.

first thing I would check is heatshields on your exhaust system, they can give funny metalic buzzy rattling at about 1800rpm if they're not all secured properly
