Apexi N1 or HKS Silent Hi-power

Hi All,

Need a new exhaust as my Super Drager has seen better days and want a more potent solution. I like the style of both the Apexi N1 (and r95) and the HKS Silent Hi-power.

I did have the HKS system on my MR2 and it was a lovely note and very well performing system, without being too loud. I am wondering what this exhaust sounds like on a gtr and how it's performance is.

I also like the Apexi N1 which I see as being a bit more straight through than the HKS system though correct me if I'm wrong. The Apexi system is known to be a bit louder but i'm not sure how loud that is. If it's massively louder like blitz nur spec loud then I don't want it. It's advantage is also being cheaper than the HKS system.

Based on the fact that it's probably better performing than the HKS and cheaper but a bit louder do you think this justifies it based on the fact that I don't want to sound like a boy racer and attract every man and his dog's attention.

If anyone has clips of sound for either of these that would be great but in all i'm just looking for opinions.

Cheers
Adam

I've got an Apexi N1 and it sounds great - it's not too loud by any means (well, it might be a bit noisy from the outside when it's on boost )

looks cool mate. Not as big as I thought it would be, the HKS on my mr2 looked like a melon launcher!

Hmm starting to warm towards that. It's not full stainless is it...how traight are the pipes i mean there aren't any 90 degree bends are there.

Cheers

Maybe it's the angle of the photo but it is a pretty big pipe. I hope it's fully stainless as that's what it was sold to me as!!!

As for it being straight:
