Engine removal

The engine is all ready to lift out but I cannot get the o/s drive shaft out, is there any special tricks ? do you really need to take off the front diff cover ??

Any help much appreciated

Hi Paul,

I tried tolever out mine from outside, but in the end removed the cover, and popped it out from inside the diff.

One more thing, there is a wire connected to the Power steering lines, just down by the starter motor. I didn't spot it on mine until I started lifting the engine.

regards
