waterpump pulley and enginemount differences r32-r33

why is there a difference in the size of the waterpump pulley on my '98 rb26 and my '90 rb26? the 90 have a lot larger pully.

have a 91 gts-t wich had a r33 rb26 in it, i am now putting a 90 rb26 in it and discovered that the enginemounts where totaly different, and i find that very wierd. does anyone know why? the r32gtr mounts where alluminum and alot "longer" than the steel ones that was on the other engine.
