MPH conversion r32
Just bought a mechanical speedo convertor, can anyone tell me where abouts on the gearbox this unit needs to be located? also where's the best place to feed an electrical wire from inside the car, i need it to activate the fog lamp i've attached at the back of my car for its MOT this weekend
Thanks Aktar |

Converter is a five minute job.
Jack the car up, look for where the speedo cable comes off, unscrew it, screw on the converter and screw the cable onto the converter. I removed mine, ran km/h and used a road angel for mph as A) the converter broke after someone else did not screw it on straight B) the road angel is deadly accurate C) I don't look down at speedos any more, I look where I am going and the road angel is in my line of sight. As for your wiring, I have a switch for mine on the dashboard and it activates one of my back lights. I did not fit it however. Take the power for the foglight off the parking lights so that it can come on with the lights. No idea what colour wire that is. Use a pin with a test bulb and some wire.

Yeah i read on hear that hicas & attess was affected by this conversions on aa r32, i'll probably be removing the hicas soon anyway and for the Attessa issue i was planning on buying a torque split controller. also am i correct in thinking that by converting the clocks i've in effect increased the speed limit to 180mph instead of 180kmh?
BTW does anyone have a translation of the fuse box diagram, or maybe someone could tell me what page to look in the workshop manuall as i'm having difficulty finding it? Thanks Aktar |
