Talking Deep dish Superlights for old school Minis (not Skyline-related but what the heck...)

Now I know that this isn't Skyline-related, but I also know that there are more than a few Mini enthusiasts on here...

Due to a change in plans, I'll no longer be fitting these to the old girl (91 Mini Cooper). So if you're thinking about buying a brand new set of spanky 13s for your Mini, or know of someone who might be tempted, STOP!! This is a much better deal than you'll get at any of the mainstream Mini shops/tuners!

- 13" x 7" Superlight deep dish (polished rim) alloys *BRAND NEW*
- Dunlop tyres - SP Sport 9000 195/45/R13 75V *BRAND NEW*
- Chrome dust caps *BRAND NEW*
- Chrome wheel nuts *BRAND NEW*
- Locking wheel nut kit *BRAND NEW*

Yup - I bought this lot as a package last year and a change of plans (i.e. having to fund Skylineengine work, as well as getting married!) means that my beloved 1991 Cooper is going to have to go to a new home, so these rims will never be fitted to her.

These are BRAND NEW. The wheels are 13" x 7" Superlights with the deep dish and polished lip. Here's a photo:

The tyres came fitted as part of the package (by Minisport - who also balanced them for me) and are the truly excellent Dunlop SP Sport 9000 195/45/R13 75V. I paid more for these tyres than the standard ones offered with the wheels as these (IMHO) have better grip and have a slightly wider sidewall, which protects the lovely rims if you happen to kiss a kerb when parking.

I have to stress that these wheels have NEVER been fitted to a car, nor have the tyres ever seen the road! They've been sat in my attic, just waiting for me to get my ass into gear and fit them. But it's not to be!

I did some looking around to see what these are worth and found the following: The wheels are currently for sale via Minisport at £69-95 per rim. The tyres are currently sold by Huddersfield Mini Spares for £69 each. Chrome valve caps are running at around a fiver a set, and the locking wheel nut kits are being punted out by Minisport at £21.95 a set, plus the Superlight chrome wheel nuts are £3.95 for 4 (I have 16). I know my maths is rusty but I make that lot some £603.55.

Now I know that you can haggle, cut a deal, part-ex your Gran (and possibly your missus), etc. to get some discount, especially if you buy as a package, so I'm not going to be silly about prices.

I'm looking for a nice round 400 notes, which I reckon is a fair price, especially if you go and have a look at Huddersfield Mini Spares - the cheapest 13" x 7" package they do is £420, which gets you a similar wheel, granted, but certainly doesn't get you the polished rim, pukka Dunlop rubber, nor does it get you a locking wheel nut kit. Like I said, if you're after a brand new tyre package then you won't get a better deal than this in any shops...

I'm based in Bolton and would obviously prefer pickup rather than posting. Just hope they go to a good home as am gutted that I can't keep 'em and get them on my own Mini Ho hum.... guess I'd better console myself with the 3-spokes on my Skyline ...

Sunny old Bolton (!) is 20 minutes NW of Manchester. About 220 miles from Surrey (!) although I'd be happy to pack 'em up and send 'em by courier for another £20... ? Or if you know someone up here who's coming your way in the next few weeks, or maybe someone coming up to or through the NW?

Could also take photos of anything you want just to confirm conditon as brand new, as I know that buying over a distance can leave a few people a little cold
