Head Gasket or not ???? please help me someone..

Hi guys,

I had a problem with my gtr when the tiny coolant hose popped that runs accross the front of the engine,
I replaced the pipe at the side of the road and put a few pints of coolant in to bring the level back up.

I didnt realise there was an airbleed screw and on the way back it started to over heat again :-( I didnt let the temp get right to the top of the scale (about 3/4)

so i got the car home and after reading up on here about it i bled all the air out of the cooling system and filled it back up.

there is no oil in the water that i can tell (a bit rusty brown though ?) and none of the "mayo" symptoms on the oil cap either ?

The temperature now stays where it should (in the middle of the guage) but i did however notice the oil pressure drop for a minute to about 1 on the std guage at tickover. but hasnt done it since.
The car seems to run fine however the top of the head seems very hot to touch (cant remember if it was like that before) and i noticed a bubbling sound from the rad after i stopped the engine ?

the temp guage is still reading as it should though....

How can i tell if something is still wrong ? I dont want to be driving about and cooking the head ?

Please help me guys, i have had a gasket done before and im worried its gonna end up being expensive to fix.....

How can i tell if all the guages read fine, if it is still overheating ?

My water temp reaches over 110c after I stop from a long run, my engine is also far too hot to touch but whilst running the temp is a steady 76c.
I thinks everythings fine from what you describe.

run it for a few weeks keeping a close eye on water levels and mayo in engine cap

if you find nothing put a Rad flush in to clean your rad system then fully flush out with a hose pipe after the engine has cooled

then treat it to 2.5 litres of good quality antifreeze and refil and bleed like you have already done

as combat says mine has similar temps while driving and engine gets to hot to touch
