Autumn trip to Spa.

Hi all,

There's a trackday at Spa-Francorchamps on Monday 3rd October.

Trip will involve travelling out on Sunday, return after trackday on Monday evening (probably). Cost will most likely be similar to last time.

Anyone interested?

Ken

Hi Ken

A few 'go faster' modifcations in the engine department, and suspension bits too, just enough so that I can keep up with Kev & Iain ! (I hope )

Ken

Can't do this one as I shall be in Bonny Scotland, but at least you lot will be able to see where you are going in the pits without me creating a fog!

Gav - Don't think the 'Ring is open around that date. At least wasn't last time I checked. But if that changes, I'll go.

Robbie - I drive like a girl, so if you can't keep up with me you're beyond all hope mate.

I've had some info from Greg Destexhe from MLR (our man in Spa ) about an alternative day at Spa. Here's the rundown:

Friday 28th October
6 sessions during the day in 3 groups (beginner, intermediate, expert).
Instruction included.
No pits, parking area in the bottom paddock, although wheel changing was allowed in a couple of the pits last time.
£125 for the day.
Overtaking rules: may pass on either side but owness is with the person doing the passing.

That's it in a nutshell, perhaps Greg can add anything I've missed out.

Personally, I'm not too sure about the overtaking rule for beginners but I'm told it all went well last time.
This is not a UK organised event.

So it's either the Easytrack one on the 3rd October or this other one on the 28th. Not sure about Nurburgring availability around these dates. for comparison the ET cost was about £170 last time from memory.

Any preferences?

Ken

I think that I would prefer the open pit lane with ET on the 3rd for the sake of an extra £50, but will go with the flow.
