Steering rack bushes

One of the two mot failures on my car is play in the front steering rack, caused by the knackered-ness of these two bushes:

So, obviously I could get standard ones but can you get uprated ones?? And would there be any point?

Uprated ones *may* give you more of a quick response to steering i spose as when you rock the steering with standard bushes, you'l see the rack move very slightly from side to side (done abit of MOT testing many moons ago).
So, maybe a worthwhile investment if you can get them.
Having said that, you may not notice any differance from standard new ones.

Nismo make uprated version.

Super Flex or one of the other polyurethane bush manufacturers make them - about £30 a pair.

the not-a-perfect-circle bush (right hand one) I believe was superceded .. the one you'd get from nissan could be an improved one. Well, that is if the s13 has the same steering rack - I certainly recognise that rack design from my own car.
