HKS blowoff on R32 GTR

well i did it! it took around 1 hour to remove the front bar. what a relief. Anyway... i had a chance to thoroughly check out the aftermarket blowoff valves which came from Japan. they are a pair of HKS sequential.

The only problem is, they don't work. i've tried everything and still no sound.
I had a blitz valve on my previous car and to adjust the sound levels u simply unscrew the center bolt to make the pshhh louder.

Is it different on the hks models?

Hi Mate,
They have been known to stick. Due to the position they get a fair bit of muck and crud thrown at them.
You can strip and clean them if they are not too bad.
Have you checked the actuator lines from the bv.s to the inner wing and then from inside the engine bay to the boost solenoid ?
Hope this helps.
Cheers Cokey

I took both the hks valves off but i'm a bit puzzled how to strip them. the only way i can look inside the valve is through the bottom.

any ideas?

oh and thanks for the input carlreeve with regards to the front bumper.... i managed to get a copy of the manual.
