J Ship Motor Festival 2005
OK, so probably no one outside out Yamanashi has heard of it...tis our own little motorshow held at the local air strip not more than 2 miles from my house...
bad news is I had to work, so missed all but the very end! So I missed the Ferraris, lambos etc drag racing down the strip, missed the drifting and all the other good stuff. But did manage to get a few static shots, and a couple of my R in a rather cool location... ![]() pulling into the carpark and the drifting (bar the smoke! ) was just about over: ![]() somebody had some fun ![]() ![]() precious metal Most of which were doing drag runs at one point or another! ![]() ![]() what's your favorite? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() thunderbirds... ![]() ![]() and some of my BNR34: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dave |

Nice pics & parking space for your 34
Right, Ferrari's are common as muck, the Skyline does stand out from the crowd. Dave what make of exhaust have you got on your car, looks the same as mine? |

Great pics! Lovely car.
That 'Thunderbird' is Keio University's electric car with a motor on each wheel, able to out-accelerate almost anything petrol-driven up to 300km/hr. I would love to have seen that. ![]()

thanks guys - unfortunately I missed most of the day and didn't manage to get many decent pics
![]() Sky 1t: my car is completely standard (AFAIK) so that's an original exhaust on the back ![]() what was surprising for me - most of those Ferraris had Yamanashi number plates, now Yamanashi aint that big and in 6 years here I haven't seen 'em! They must be kept well under wraps for most of the year ![]() |

And the door is in the edge of photo 5 !!! Although I was counting on an imperial scale, whereas Dino was no doubt using metric - which could account for the discrepancies !! G'night !! |
