My new toy

Well finally my V spec 2 arrived last week, went to pick it up from the transport company found it had a flat battery, no probs wee jump start and away it went, now this is my first car with a muti plate clutch( last one had a standard one) i stalled it three times within ten feet and had to jump start it again after every stall, the truck driver was ****ing hiself. Big thanks to andy at power vehicles in japan as this car is awesome, i took it to my work for its MOT, still had half a tank of jap juice........my first gtr was only stage one, this thing feels like its trying to headbut the horizon on 1.4 bar of boost , but one thing is i have found it to be qutie laggy, it has hks turbos and at 70 in 5th i can hear them shuffling, how can i identify what hks models are fitted, here is a wee mod list and some i have discovered, will post up pics soon

HKS turbos
Trust intercooler
greedy racing suction kit and airinix airfilters
mines elbows
mines HUGE front pipes
mines high flow cat
mines air flow meters
Hks hard pipes
purple injectors ( think they are 600cc)
garage suarus ecu
suspect cams and upgraded oil pump ( just under 8 when cold)
upgraded fuel pump ( sounds like a XR3i)
trust oil cooler
hks boost controller set a 1.4 bar
custom made exhaust system
Brembos as its a v spec 2
project Mu front&rear discs plus pads
suspect gearbox and rear diff overhall
loads of cusco suspension parts

will get decent pics once the weather gets better and the car is washed and polished, its on my drive the now nice and shinny

i have HKS 2530's and they shuffle in 4th and 5th at low revs usually around 3000 rpm but Rod @ RB's says it can be mapped better to get rid of some but never all so next step re-map for you my friend also be very careful at running over 1 bar under the existing map unless your importer has retarded the timing? mine had to be knocked back 2 degrees to stop any det

I imported it myself but i have to agree the next step is getting the ignition timing knocked back slightly, the characteristics you describe are exactly the same as i get, but what A/R markings on the compressor housing am i looking for to identify what hks ones they are

Mmmmm silver GTR32. The best colour IMHO

Have been trying to decide whether or not to get my splitter painted on my own silver GTR32 and I think this has just convinced me

Yep, silver R32 it's gotta be, really, IMO the best colour. Even better that you've bagged a V-specII as well.

Very nice

Great car mate

Glad you like it. You will be use to the Clutch in no time.

As has been pointed out a Remap maybe the way forward as we all know how much better the Jap fuel is.
