when idlin I hear a tappin
stays when reved but engine noise soon makes it impossible to hear
just wonderin if thats normal?
friend says tappets but stays the same when reved
comes from engine if that helps

I asked this question a while ago and the answer was - its fine - its the injectors.

Pop your bonnet and have a listen and the majority of the noise should be coming from where the injectors are.
