How to install engine covers on your RB26
1. Buy a GTR with an RB26, any GTR will do.
![]() 2. Convince some friends to "Help" you. Let them do all the work, cause you can blame them for scratching up your stuff and make them pay for it. ![]() 3. Pretend to help by holding something that will not go on for the 20-30 minutes. It is also good to make it look like your hands are full. As you see here, Tony should have been holding that part with both hands, good thing he did not get caught and asked to get a tool with his free hand. ![]() 4. Take off any oil or sweat so the part does not slip out of the installer's hands. These guys went to the next level and took off all edible material. ![]() 5. Get others to stand around holding non-essential parts so they are not asked to help. It is always good to have only one person install, so that they cannot blame anyone else. Refer to #1. ![]() 6. Test the final install-flip off the parts to ensure you can see your reflection and not a bunch of finger prints. Dave made sure he could see the Yakisoba stuck between his teeth. ![]() 7. Polish the parts yourself and pat yourself on the back, you did an awesome install without breaking a sweat or getting grease under your fingernails. Make sure you take all the credit when you show off your new pieces. It is optional to say that you had a little bit of help from your friends. ![]() These pics were taken at the car show on base this past Sat. While we were at the show, Tony's engine covers arrived in the mail, so he decided to install them there, since there were plenty of eager helpers. I will post up pics of the show later on this week. It turned out to be a great event. |
