Nismo N1 water pump & thermostat

I've heard people talking about the following:

* Nismo water pump
* N1 water pump
* Nismo N1 water pump

Are these in fact one and the same thing? Does the N1 (Nismo or otherwise) water pump attach to the standard block "as is" ?

Can the Nismo thermostat be fitted easily by an average Joe like me?

Does anyone have the partcodes for the water pump(s) listed above?

Thanks

Dunno about the water pump question, although I would think they're the same thing.

As for the thermostat, you have to take the radiator top hose off, then 3 bolts to undo the elbow, either a gasket or some liquid gasket to remove, swap thermostats and put it back together, top up radiator. Quite an easy job I would have thought, although Ive only done it on a bare block so Im not sure what's in the way

well from what I understand Nismo were responsible for the N1 spec, so N1 water pump and Nismo is probably the same. (Unaware of a Nismo supplied water pump).

T/stat, easy to fit, 3 bolts as Pikes says. Just a pain as rad needs draining and topping up again, but I guess you'd be doing both together (water pump, which is not easy swap). Be sure to bleed it properly when done. Use liquid gasket on both water pump and t/stat.

That does make sense. I can't find a "Nismo water pump" anywhere in Nismos catalogue which confused me (when fuel pump and oil pump are there).

I know the water pump is a cambelt/tensioner replace job (i.e. out of my depth) but its good to know the thermostat is easier to do.

IMHO there isn't a Nismo water pump only an N1 version, the N1 pump has the part number 21010-24U27. The N1 pump has less blades than the std one, causing less cavatation in the water at high rev's
