A friend has recently bought the legit Power FC software and dongle from either Nengun or Whiteline in Japan, I can't remember which. There was a thread either here, or on one of the other Skyline sites, ages ago, documenting some "tricks" to getting it to load, when a hooky version was being touted about. I succeeded in loading it, by, I think, using some jap characters in the directory name. However, a lot of the menus have random characters in them. If I were to buy the legit version does anyone know if this can be worked around? My friend has not even succeeded in loading his copy yet. Anyone got to grips with this yet? Thanks!

I believe it looks for a particular Japanese font existing on your windows installation. Which particular one I can't recall, but I do have the software running on my home PC.

Try installing all the international options in your windows build, as I'm pretty certain I don't load anything that doesn't come on the winxp install.
