New owner needs advice

hi, im sure this has been covered before but i cant find it with the search button...

i've just got my first skyline, a 92 RB20 GTSt 4 door and i love it. Mint condition. i dont know where to start with it though, i've ordered a de cat pipe as i dont want a loud exhaust, is this a good start and what kind of difference can i expect?

and where would you go from here? ive heard that you should leave the air filter alone? but i'd like to tidy it up, no room around there

thanks

Whatever you do make sure you get some good advice first and make sure it has a complete evaluation on the engine before you start. Replace any potentially weak points or fix any identified problems before you start modifying.

thanks. going to get the timing belt done soon alright, just incase... on the whole though i have no worries, its an extremely tight car, as new nearly, have it now for about two months,

theres a few things i noticed about it though, the brakes are terrible! fine for normal driving but if you were to brake hard at speed the back steps out every time

the suspension too, its very solid in the rear, nothing wrong with that but its dodgy enough if you were to go down a country road (loads of that here ha ha).
the back end feels like it gets pulled from side to side if you know what i mean?

beautiful cars to drive though, i can only imagine what a gtr is like!

hcr32/hnr32 will increase HP by remove the rear muffler. It only made the front part better flow when you de-cat....but the back still blocked....If you dont want a loud exhaust, don't use the N1 type muffler will be fine...i suggest that you better replace the middle to rear part frist...(ps 2.5 inch for more torq/ 3inch for more hose power...)
