OSG clutch bite adjustment kit?
Was talking to someone the otherday with regards to trying to increase the bite window on my ORC clutch. They suggested OSG do a adjustment kit, can anyone confirm this? or anyone know how to make my clutch more user friendly in traffic??

Do you have a twin or triple?
A bigger clutch slave cylinder (Nismo or other make) will increase the pedal travel over the bite point. Also Nismo pedal bracket and a braided hose will improve feel. Not sure that OSG make anything other than pull to push convertors. |

Ive got an ORC 709D twin plate, just a real pain in traffic, i`ve got used to the small window between the clutch engaged and dis engaed but still not nice in traffic around london.
So increasing the pedal travel over bite point? so thats what im looking for right, so there is more movement in the bite travel similar to a std clutch... |

I think Risingsun are the official UK importers of OSG clutches ? I am taking mine down there in a few weeks to get someone to look, as mine is dragging. They can be adjusted so they might be able to help ?

Not sure if they can be adjusted I'm afraid, but I'm sure the bite point on my OSG tripple changes with each press. It never seems to be in the same place twice.
After nearly two years of ownership I still can't get it right, (stalled twice today, and in front of people too ).Wierdly enough my missus can use it fine, perhaps it needs a woman's touch, (the clutch that is). Maybe get your missus to teach you how to use it, that might work, and its free too. ![]() |

OS Giken offer an adjustable rod to help set the clutch up.
It has no effect on the way the clutch bites, only on the position of the slave cylinder piston. If you want more feel on your clutch you should fit a larger slave cylinder. I have used an OSG triple for the last few years with a larger clutch slave cylinder and it is fine for driving around town. |

I used to have an OSG triple and could drive around in Tokyo traffic no problem. The only reason I changed it was because I don't like the way with triples that 1 pair of plates always mesh first and then the last plate joins the party a bit later. (This is not an OSG issue it's any triple). I also think that HipoGTR uses an OSG triple in the centre of Tokyo. |
