the R33 crank is different in that it has a bigger flat contact area for the oil pump drive.

On the R32 crank, the flat that the oil pump is driven from is quite small and at high rpm can sometimes slip in the oil pump drive meaning oil doesnt get pumped around your engine.

When people rebuild their R32 engines, they normally either use an R33 crank or have a sleeve / collar made up to strenghen the connection between the crank and the oil pump drive.

If done properly, a crank oil pump drive collar is a perfectly good solution.

You dont need to get one made either, JUN make them.
