Question RB26 plug cover question....

Hi all, might seem like a daft question but........
Noticed a few skylines in the For Sale forum with their centre plug cover removed (the bit between the 2 cam covers!). Logic, and a few years as a techie, would suggest that its been taken off as its fouling on something. Question is to all those in the know, is that the case and if so, what's the culprit?

Ta,

TT

Now i dont know if im completely correct but i think one reason is to keep the plugs and colipacks a bit cooler.

Yup thats one of the reasons
The coils get silly hot and this is one way to keep the temps down!!
They are not a cheap thing to replace and the heat does cause them to break down ...
