actuator???

Hi all i have a mate who has just purchased an 92 r32 gts 2.0 turbo.i was just wondering is it ok to drive it at low speeds with the actuator off the turbo as we need to get it to the workshop??will it do any damage by being removed and the car being driven 10 miles??the little linkage from the end of the actuator rod to the turbo housing is screwed so needs to be fixed...Any help would be much appreciated

Wire the wastegate fully open so boost is very limited and it will be prefectly safe.

Cheers

Hey Chris thanks for the info bud...after having a good look at the car this evening i have come to the opinion that his car is in serious need of a reconditioned turbo or new one.It would appear that someone had been at the car before he bought it and made an absolute balls of it.
