students!!!

Now i know there may be one or two on here but there are good students and then there are uber-students. Those that take it too far. They will stay on or return to do an extra year just because "the lifestyle is so good".

Shut up you tarts. The lifestyle is gay. Using a matric card to get everything cheap, dressing like a fruit-booty and dossing about like a bum till your 25??

You are not trendy, you are not cool. The union is not the best place in the world. Putting one hand up and pointing while sipping your bacardi breezer is not dancing.

You cannot hide the fact your a fat bastard by putting on a rugby top and
pretending you play prop. No one ****ing cares how you got on in your exams and acting smug because you think your onto a 30k a year job soon as you leave is just gayness. Speaking of gayness, having gay friends just because it appears to be fashionable is bollocks and so is pretending to be bisexual because your angry at your daddy you flipping gobsheen.

graaaaaaggghhhhh!!!!

Amen to all of the above mate,

I remember going back to a student night and trying to "re-live the dream"

I ended up wanting to punch everyone in the face

Sooooo many stereo types

-Birds getting too fat cos all they know what to cook is pasta
-Blokes with hip flasks hidden in their jeans cos they are unable to afford even the cheap union prices
-Fat rugby louts who by 1am all have they tops off and are wobbling their man-boobs all over the dance floor
-people with afro-wigs trying to make a "statement"

I could go on but I would get too angry

i once made the mistake of leaving my car parked down the road from a union on a friday night. I came back in the morning to find footprints all up the bonnet, roof and boot. A cone on the roof, dents everywhere and rubbish tipped over it. It was a sorry sight

If i ever caught a student playing with my new GTR their parents would cry when they saw what i did to them

I have to admit that many, many students have no idea of what the real working world is like.

A lot of them do honestly think that because they have kissed their favourite lecturers @rse, then they will get at least a ***163;25k job as soon as they leave.

They also seem to think that they know best in whatever they study and anyone who isn't associated with either the same Uni or a 'higher' University, they should shut up - including people who have been working for like 10+ years in that particular industry.

See below for a rough league of 'status' in society:

Big wigs/ Fat cats - I own HSBC or some weird company that owns a zillion quid
Working people - Pretty much self explanatory. The good, bad and the ugly.
Students - No your not gonna just leap to the top of this list due to a few exams
Bums - Stop wasting our money and work like everyone else. Benefits

as a director i know that i would rather employ a man that has 5 years experience in his field than a man who appears fresh out of uni with a bit of paper saying he's read a book and is qualified to do the job. Sad but true. Many employers agree. Too many qualifications getting handed out like freebies nowadays

Considering I left uni with nearly 11k's worth of debt, I really dont think you can hold a grudge against students because they get 10% discount in HMV

Ive only just turned 26 - and I left uni 4 years ago! The only course I can think of that takes 7 years to get a qualification is Medicine, and if you think student doctors 'doss about like bums' then you need to take your head out of your **** mate

calm yourself and re read my original post you balloon.
I said there are good students .. i was talking about those work shy dossers that over-do and play up to the whole student lifestyle.

Im afraid if you have 11k of debt, you shouldnt have borrowed so much should you?

If you are training to be Doctors lawyers etc then obviously your going to be there a while that goes without saying

I have to admit, when I was a student I hated other students! Not my mates of course, but the OTT ones described in Koopa's first post.

Fat blokes wearing rugby tops. Fat birds drinking too much alcohol. Smelly birds not washing their clothes enough. Blokes wearing those T-shirts you get from TopMan with 'Brazilia' or 'Deutschland' on them. Rar birds with their messy bleached blonde hair and pink scarves. Rar blokes with their messy bleached blonde hair and cardigans.

Luckily I wasn't one of the naive ones and soon realised that with a degree in computer science, plus the fact I hated my course, I would never earn what I wanted to earn upon graduation. So 18 months after graduation I'm doing something completely different and steadily working my way up the corporate ladder.

Have to admit I loved the student lifestyle though!

Just like every other sector of society there are a mix of people, personally I dont mind the types you refer to, they are only young and having a good time and who are you to deny anyone that? Its the system we have like it or not, you dont have to like them but why condemn them?
I went back to Uni at the age of 45 and stayed for 4 years coming out with a BSc and a MSc and I had a great time even with the tossers and I actually admire them, to get bladdered every night and still go on to get a good degree, these are the people who are going to run things and they will have the stuffing knocked out of them soon enough out in the real worls so give them a break and let them enjoy what they can.
