Angry women drivers!!!!!!

This morning on the way to work i let three women out of side roads and not one of them thanked me with the commonly used hand in the air!!

So i thought i would do a test....

I tried to let every women i saw out of side roads and out of the 15 i let out only 4 thanked me!!!

Is it just me or do women think we were put on this planet to serve them???

Not only that but two of the women that thanked me didnt really understand what flashing them meant....aaaaaarrrrgghhhh!!!! They just looked at me with a blank face wondering what i was doing.

I now pledge not to let any woman out of a side road no matter how long she's been waiting for.

Generally speaking I dont differentiate between men and women drivers but I agree with you on that one, also how many actually acknowledge you holding a door open for them never mind saying thankyou, not many.

no, i noticed this aswell... i try not to let it get my goat though as all the women that i know do not say thank you for gentlemanly behaviour on the roads.. I do hope they don't have someone **** raping them by car because of it.

Try doing it my way and don't let ANYONE out and then they can't make you mad

The door thing really annoys me.

Believe it or not, I was brought up to be a Gentleman. It makes me spit teeth when I hold a door open for anybody and they sail through without even acknowledging my presence.........At least it used to annoy me.

Now I simply say with a load clear voice whilst bowing with mocking deference in their direction "You're welcome your Majesty."

I'm not the only one then. . .

I do find it funny when you are flashing someone out and they just look funny at you, untill you give up and move forward for them to dive out the side road ????

wanda: Can you clarify your comment about "I do hope they don't have someone **** raping them by car because of it" please? I don't know exactly what you mean, and I might be about to jump the gun.................

Moleman i hate to say this but in all seriousness they probably think your up to something. Very few still do this people probably think if they acknowledge you you will ask them for money/cigs pick they pocket or something its a sad reflection on are society I'm afrade........... unless you just look scary? Or perhaps they think you gonna ask them out or something. In truth no offense but anything out of the ordinary they probably think you mad and will stab them if they look at you care in the community and all.

You knew it was coming....

This test is not exactly scientific try it with men too. You let people in out you wait for them on narrow streets you hardly ever get an acknowledgment from either sex. I for one you let out that Georges she stares you strait in the eye you hope for a smile or a wave nothing ever i feel used like that girl who sold me that bloody mobile.... Truth is this once you get an idea in your head its easy to support it hence they lack of a mail test here. Truth is if you think women are bad drivers ungreatfull etc... You will convince yourself of it quickly e.g. if you see 10 acts of stupidity on the road its the 1 made buy a woman you'll remember not that that does my 4x4 rant any good but thats another story........ hey if you can be hypocritical so can i!

Hmmm...speaking for myself (which I am) if someone lets me out of a junction I signal with my hand and say "thank you" of flash them even if its my right of way to say thanks for stopping. If someone lets me into a space on a motorway when I cant say thanks with either hand or light signals...I put my hazards on briefly.

As for a man holding the door open for me?....I always say thanks, I even get embarrassed of this jesture. I was raised with politness and manners.

Funny...I've held doors open for men and not one has said thank you, mostly in petrol stations. Also, men don't acknowledge me IF I let them go, even when it's my right of way...they look at me as if I shouldn't be behind the wheel of a powerful car..."whatever!!"

Its not just younger women I find the older ones the worst and they should have been brought up in a time when manners were more emphasised so no excuse

Ha!

Last week I was signalling to turn left and a woman was signalling to turn right on the same road, I was in a rush and she was waiting so I put up the palm of my hand in the classic "thankyou" motion and drove started to turn. As she saw my gesture she started bloody turning, nearly got very messy..............unbelievable!

I do find id depends where you are in the UK. Down in Weymouth if you open a door for ladys with prams etc you even get dirty looks. In my home town everyone (appart from the old gits) thanks you for most things, doors, letting cars out etc.

I wondered how long it would be before there was a men b1tching about women drivers thread

Men AND women are both extremely rude on the road if they are ignorant IMHO, I've had grief from both. As has been said above, if you focus on something somehow it becomes true in your mind.

Having said that, dozy school run women drivers get on my wick too.

It's the ones in the flash cars you have to look out for, normally bright colours
