HKS Legalis vs. Nismo exhaust

Hey.

I got really cheap nismo full exhaust, inc. nismo equal lenght downpipe (2x65mm/75) and 3" rest of nismo exhaust.

Pic of same kind nismo.
Auction - Yahoo Japan Auctions. eBay Japan

Proplem is... at the moment i've hks downpipe wich is same specs as nismo one(not equal lenght), but rest of the pipe (Hks legalis) is outer diameter of 84mm and nismo just 80mm.

Was wondering, will i install nismo or keep my hks legalis. What nismo sounds like? what is the difference if diameter gets 4mm smaller ? Other option is, that i sell nismo again and will by 3.5" exhaust..

rb26 and engine power is about 550hp at the moment. What exhaust size u guys have and what power you are making ?

I have a full nismo exhaust system and equal lenght downpipe. It is a very silent system and inside the car you will hear more engine and induction noise than exhaust. I'm really happy with it.

I wouldn't stress over 4mm lol. I have never heard of HKS legalis though. Sure its not fujitsubo legalis?

Just put it on and see how you like it. If you like the sound and look then keep it. If not sell it and get a 3.5 or something. I use 3.5 (90mm) full Midori Seibi setup on stock engine. Sounds good, looks good, definitely opened the car up. Mid range felt stronger.

makes no difference

but both will be very quiet mufflers

they are designed to be shaken friendly

ie not loud and regulation compliant.

there is Jasma badge and somekind serial number and it matched with hks as maker. haha.. yeah you are right. its just 4mm And matty yes, hks is very very quiet too, little noise when reving. Maybe i was little hoping that nismo makes little more sound than hks... Well. i try and listen. For future, 3.5" would be good. If i can brake 600hp limit sometimes soon. Or where 3" exhaust is flowing ? 400-600hp? i know downpipe makes biggest difference cause exhaustgas is hot near turbo ect.

E:

now i found it. And sorry, its legal not legalis!

its a HKS legal

they are not designed to really push more than street application

so you need to change for a good flow on 600/550

change the turbine outlets, down pipe to something better (HKS is ok, but much better options out there)

all the best in your search

il be going for similar power, so i went Midori turbo outlets, tomei turbos, midori Ti down pipe, midori Ti Muffler

hope that helps.
