HELLLLLP MY BRAKES ARE NOT WORKING....!!!!

Hi All

Merry christmas to everyone and wish you all a happy new year.

Yes i am sad enough to be submitting a post on christmas day as my baby is not too well she has a problem with the brakes.

I have had a look at the calipers and i cannot see how much pad i have left.

The problem i am having is that the brake pedal is very very hard. I have checked the brake fluid and its on the max line so thats ok.

Anything i can check before i take it to a garage.

Could it be pads..??

Please help........!!!!!!!

Have you lost something like a vacuum line? Does it feel hard like as hard as the pedal is when the engine is off?

I was thinking that.

At least three threads asking advice on problems with the car and suddenly it's for sale with no mention of the problems in the advert.

Well let me tell you something moleman, people like you are sat on the forum and like to get kicks by trying to be clever.

the car will have all problems solved before its sold, and by the way they are not problems to others only to me as i am learning and this is my first gtr, so its more advice than problems, you understand..!!!

the car was bought from japan

Hi Gtr-Zilla,

I dont know what you mean by ktc, and whatever this is the car wasnt bought from there as i have explained that the car was imported for me, and it is a fresh import that has only been on the road for 4 days and been registered for 1 week.

Time doesnt wait for anyone i know that i have asked for help the sameday or shall i say the same morning i got pulled, but i guess the GTR wasnt meant to be for me.

You have advertised the car without any mention of problems that you have asked advice on.

This is unfair to potential buyers that only visit the For Sale section and do not read any other part of the forum.

To potential buyers that are regular users, it just looks suspiscious.

It may not be intentional, but that's the facts. It looks as if you are attempting to pass on a lemon.

black r33 vspec:

I wouldn't normally step in on adverts as I believe in the concept of caveat emptor and people doing their due diligence (anyone who buys a car off another forum member should at the very least read through that persons previous posts to see if they had talked about problems, etc)

That said, your "For Sale" advert explicitly says "The car drives like a dream" - which is clearly not the case. I think you should highlight what outstanding problems exist on the car even if you intend to fix them yourself, especially when they are as serious as "the brakes don't work".

Thanks Moleman,

I didnt think of it that way, i guess you are right.

I am new to the forum and am no member of anyother forum so i dont know exactly how they work or shall i say i am not familiar with them.

I appreciate the advice but didnt like the the way you worded your first post, thats why i got quite cheesed off as i am not trying to pull any wool over any potemtial buyers eyes.

Everything will be sorted before the sale of the car, and trust me its no lemon, just the that the brake pedal is a little hard.

Durzel:

First thing i need to mention is that i think i have used a bad title to the post which relates to my brakes.

I guess this is worrying everyone, i will update my "for sale" advert.
