Need brakes r33 GTR

I own an R33 GTR, my brakes are no good at all. What upgrades are there out there, and prices please.

I only have under 400bhp are the standard brakes up to when new?

Thanks in advance

you could go for DBA grooved discs with redstuff pads, or if you like squealing pads go for the DS2500 (these come into their own on track) this is the cheapest upgrade option.

if your going to use the car on track I would suggest going for a 6pot kit, something like Alcon, AP, Endless etc.

if your just using the car on the road, then I guess its down to how hard your using the car!

i'm currently looking at the DBA setup. Cost for a pair of fronts, including pads, fitted is knocking on for £575

but it's gotta be worth it as my brakes have been shot ever since a certain Jethro Bovingdon took my car to wales

lol

As ever its the same old question? How much is in your Pocket?
The DBA setup is a good option to replace the standard bracks, if you want much greater stopping power fit 6 pots on the front again thier are many options however over the last 11 years i have tried most of them and i now say barrrrrrrr to 6 pots and would not part with my 4 pot stoptech brakes the out perform all the rest and if you want to go that extra mile you can also fit thier rear set as well that incorparate the standard handbrake set up. thier have been many discussions on this forum over the years and at the end of the day its personal prefrance and haw deep are your pockets.

have alook on the stoptech.com website and braking technology is explained very well, even for us novices.

but speak tp scott at abbey they have more experience than any other gararge in the uk. tel 01883 732331.

Ps if you PM me i will forward some pictures of my brakes as i have not worked out how to host them yet to busy driving!

Chris - I'm going the DBA route with DS2500's in the not too distant future - as my front discs are getting near the end of their life.

A Cool kit comes from Biot japan. It includes a 340mm floating rotor(like pictured above) and uses the std caliper with a relocation bracket. You get the larger better rotor without the expense of scrapping a reasonably good brembo caliper. It goes for about 700gbp

here's a link:

What pads are you running?- Good bads and fluid can make a HUGE difference!
