I fitted one of these today.



It's an old metro anti-run-on valve. Basically, its a solenoid that opens to let air in when the ignition is turned off.

We've wired it into the AEM to work as the idle speed control valve. We also fiddled around and wired the power steering pressure switch into the A/C control switch, so now, when steering pressure is applied, the revs rise a little. This soleniod isn't the perfect solution for the idle speed, but its fairly good. The AEM requires a stepper motor one ideally.
