HKS 264 camshafts

Hi guys, i own a Skyline R34 GTR V-Spec 2. Modifications include- HKS down pipe, Nismo de-cat exhaust system, Apexi power intake air filters, Mine's ecu, Blitz boost controller. I did a dyno test and the car is 425bhp (engine) and 315bhp (wheels). My target is to get as much as possible with stock intercooler, turbo, injectors and clutch. Hopefully around 450bhp (engine).

Previously i was contemplating whether to change the Mines ecu to a Power FC or a FconV pro. But i think its too costly.

My mechanic advised me to change my camshaft to HKS 264 cams and a fuel regulator (to increase the fuel supply). Maybe a SAFC to fine tune a little. Later perhaps changing my head gasket as well if i have cash to spare. He said this will give me around 450bhp. He said changing the the cams would also give me more torque (is this true?)

Thanks for ure advice.

Get better flowing injectors, maybe the fuel regulator as he suggested and run more fuel and boost

does this mean i should change the injectors instead of the HKS cams? wat injectors should i use? Is the Tomei 260/252 better than the HKS 264/264 for my current config?

I personaly don't recommend wilder cams if your only after 450bhp.
Maybe someone else can recommend what injectors to use? as i don't really know what size is needed for the power your after. Get it remapped with the new injectors, run more boost and the new injectors should be able to cope along with the fuel regulator if your mechanic suggests.

N1s, HKS elbows and downpipes, SumoPower decat, Trust exhaust
Apexi induction kit, Z32 AFMs, Blitz dump valves.
Apexi PowerFC, mapped by Gary @ APT, GReddy ProfecB specII
Wiseco 87mm pistons, std rods, R33 crank, ACL bearings, ARP rod bolts, OS Giken clutch + flywheel. All internals balanced.
Walbro 255 fuel pump, SARD 700cc injectors
Cometic 1.2mm metal head gasket, all other gaskets HKS, GReddy cambelt

Think that's everything relevant. Still on standard cams and cam gears, and standard intercooler
---------
Thats Jeff spec and hes 450bhp - 400lbft
How was my opinion stupid?

I have a set of step2 HKS 264 10mm camshafts for sale if you like, 400 Gbp for both. They've done 6000 km 3500 miles only. They are like new and promise you they will work perfect from 450-800 hp.They are not laggy, with my T88 I boost 1 bar at 4000 already so a lesser turo will be well into the 3xxx rpm.

Reason I changed was because I wanted power beyond 9000 rpm for higher trap speeds at drag events.
