Bee r rev limiter help
Can anyone help with this problem.. Have wired in the unit as per smileyculture's instructions, i.e. green to 1 deg pin, 42, yellow to 120 deg, pin 41. The car runs fine with the gain at 0, unit off, and the cut works at all set rpm. The problem is when it cuts it kills the engine totally and you have to re start it. Have tried all gain settings but it still dies. The car is running HKS F Con V. Any help appreciated

i just remebered i'd saved the orginal item in my favourites and it say this about the apexi so it might also work on you f-con as its also a piggy back
cut and pasted from the ebay add might be of some help?? A earth grounding issue has to be resolved if a vehicle is fitted with an aftermarket APEXi Power FC unit. This grounding issue is due to a lack of a ground terminal in the APEXi unit. The REV LIMITER uses the ground signal to cut off the ignition signal from the ECU. Since APEXi Power FC is a piggy back computer, and manipulates the original engine parameters' signals from the ECU before re-routing these modified signals to the vehicle individual engine components, a separate grounding signal is required from the APEXi Power FC. Once this grounding issue has been resolved, the REV LIMITER will be able to function as it is intended to be. mike ![]() |

PowerFC seems to have no problem the long as you ground the Bee-R limiter to a metal.
However, F-con V Pro is a piggyback unit and that seems to be causing problem. Actually, I am not sure of F-con V Pro as it only use the standard ECU to function, but it is a stand alone from what I know.
