well its actually a form of epoxi , the heat transfer in the cylinder gets more even,,,,,due to the extreme heat in the upper part of the cylinder
during full trottle and the fact that you try to run the engine cold 60-70 deg C the temperature difference is to big in the upper compared to the lower part of the cylinder and the concrete(epoxi) evens it out
and it also stiffens up the cylinder walls
and it dampens vibrations ,protecting the eng, block from cracking

Might not be finished either, certainly isnt in the enginebay pics.

Once the sumer comes along this car has all the potential to run 8s, proper drag rear end with transbrake n allsorts.

Semi-filled block too, no messing about there, serious drag engine

Thank`s all for the positive comments

The car is in parts for the moment, prepared for work of fitting a full
prostock roll cage, the old cage (jap-driftcage) didn`t meet up with drag regulations, so that had to go, also fitting wheelie bars, brake parashute
and larger diameter rear tires 26"now up to 32" ,14" wide,
most work is in chassie preparation making the car react as as we want

up to this point the car has only run a serie of tests , breaking in the engine
checking chassie reactions ,sorting out driveline components and such
it has not done any official time runs ,

Worked in Kista Nov 97-Jun 98. Lived in Nor Malastrand near Fridhemsplan station.

Pictures were old ones so thought he might have had some "before" pictures of the car when he got it.

Its all good though
