ecu chip replacement

i had my ecu chipped a few months ago and now its playing up, i've still got the standard chip but i'm a bit worried about taking the ecu apart and putting the standard one back in.

could anyone talk me through refitting the standard chip.

I'm not 100% sure its the ecu causing the problem so i wanted to check before i went moaning to the people that fitted it.
