Missfire

Hi
A friend of mine is having bother with his 33 gtr

In his words
". drives ok while at the same time missfires and makes a bit of smoke , if i rev hard it clears"

Any suggestions

Loads of active threads on this mate, mine does this as well. Not got to the root of the problem although it does seem to be as bad as your mate's

GTR's do bang a bit, As mine is running a little rich and always bangs when high in second gear going on off the power in country lanes.

If he's got black smoke coming out on planting the foot then maybe the piston rings have got a little wear on them. Are they old turbo's???
