misfire

after a warm up of 10 mins or so , easy driving , i decided to give the gtr32 a little blast , thro the 2 , 3 , 4th gears was fine , nice strong boost !!! after another 10 mins of normal driving , in 5th gear i wanted to see what the pick up was like , as turbos were spoolng up , a misfire was noticed , then more of a chug lol but this dont happen in low gears lol im confused , ps . ive only had it 3 days ! cheers lads and lasses.

oh and it sounds a little tappety

Start basic and give it a service with new filters and plugs. It is unusual as i would have expected you to feel misfire more underload in 2/3rd.

As for it sounding a little tappety....could be many things but might be worth having a look at studs around the manifold.

I am sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.

sounds like the spark plugs 99 % sure mate as for the tappety noise as far as i know they do have a slight noise to them this is normal

Tappety.... injectors make some noise. The motor has solid lifters.

Spun rod bearing sounds like its coming from the top of the motor.
