ARP Head Studs torque settings? RB26
Hi everybody, i just bought a set of ARP Studs for my skyline R33 GTR 1996, but am a little confused as to how i torque them up? i have been hearing many different things but is there a certain way or setting for them?
i am planning to run around 600hp. Any info would be greatly appreiciated. Thanks Michael |

I wouldn't use less than standard torque with a stud. The head studs are 12 mm. The ARP kit is the 190,000 psi studs. The ARP catalog says 86 ft/lbs with lube. 109 ft/lbs with 30 wt oil. http://www.arp-bolts.com/Catalog/Cat...atalog024.html Stock torque is 76-83 ft/lbs. If you are around there, then you are within tolerances of your torque wrench. |
