anyone translate this (jap text) & also tell us what these parts are in a 32gtr?

oreet I'm posting this on behalf of Mava_rules (dave) whose also on this site but is bit strung under slogging his balls off to buy fuel for his gas guzzling twin turbo beasty. anyhow theres a coupla bits in the car he's a bit lost on:

first is this
its a switch taped (and wired) to the ecu with the letters KSROM next to it. I'm guessing piggyback device and have tried to persuade dave to switch it off (or on if its off ...basically the other direction it can go!!) and see if it makes a difference. he's a bit reluctant to so has anyone heard of this ksrom switch thingy and tell us what it does?

next to the switch and on the ecu is this sticker with japanese text on it - can anyone translate any part of it? We can see that theres a "50000yen" number there - beyond that we're lost!

under the hood - a jecs somethin or other (looks like a titchy bov!) - is this standard?

lastly - is this AFM standard? I cant remember if red sticker means uprated one or not. happy to be proved wrong!

cheers
ant
aka
chief engine bay lamp holder for dave

Its an ecu scramble switch. I take it he has two red mass airflows and not a single turbo conversion.

What fuel injectors are in the car?? Colour of the plastic on them.

KSrom is a bit like a mines vxrom or blitz access ecu. Stage one upgrade ecu.

What boost is the car running????? 0.6 or 0.7bar. Flip switch and see if it goes to 1bar. Try it in a higher gear to catch it going over 1bar if it does and left off quick. Don't go over 1.2 or 1.3 bar on standard injectors.

What's the boost reading????

The jap writing is something about postage and working delivery times(3-5 with the triangle dress with little looking legs on it) on the bottom of the sticker. The middle is the full cost of the service of the ecu or replacement one.

The writing above the switch is
KSROM(on the left, obviously) and Normal(on the right in japanese)

And from bits i can pick out of the picture below it (its been a few years since I needed to use Japanese), then you are right, it does just seem to be a some sort of data logger or something like that.
The little bov is actually your fuel pressure regulator(standard)
I dont know anything about you afm though sorry

ooooh ive got goodies! lol,

injectors are yellow, not a clue what boost its running at minute but cant get a reading on the apexi boost controler always reads -761 or something.
yes there are two afms. im sure i saw on here an ecu with a jecs sticker on the chip, thats what got me thinking that the jecs stuff may be after market stuff.
thanks for replies so far guys. nice one.

Have you got a bigger pic of the engine bay??

I think it's a standard car with an upgraded ecu to run a little more boost.

no bigger pic at minute, i know it didnt have an uprated clutch as just taken the stock nissan one out with stock pressure plate. so dont think its running much more power than stock. it has water temp guage and boost guage aswel as apexi avcr boost controler, hks intakes, bilstein suspension, endless performance brakes, brake cylinder stopper, has cover removed on fuel pump (in boot) so not sure if thats been changed, also has a couple of pipes cut and blocked that look same size as what would go to a boost guage. one inside t' ing off from boost guage pipe and one just next to that fuel regualator. hasnt had a new timing belt either so doubt anything inside the engine has been touched. oh, had some big exhaust on but no decat pipe.

AFM is standard - anything with 05U in the part number is standard Nissan BNR32 part.

Get the boost controler working asap to see whats happening. One pipe off the plenium(the last little pipe underneath is a the one) block off the pipe you disconnected form the plenium. Take another pipe of the actuators and block off the pipe going to them. the feed off by the fuel regulator is right to the control box and away you go.
