Clutch Problems

First post here so Hi peeps

Hi

Just a quickie hopefully

when i was on my way back from holiday i noticed the slight amount of squeel when starting off from cold, from reverse and first to second. this has now got worse and I get it cold in most gears, now hopeing but correct me if im wrong but this sounds like the release baring is about to give up on life, the clutch its self has plenty of pedal left and upto the last few weeks was spot on

Now, do I get the release baring changed or clutch as well while the gearbox is out ? and am I right thinking this is gonna cost around £300 for the clutch and £100ish to get someone to fit it and how many miles do you think im gonna get from it b4 i have no choice but to change it ?

Its a 94 Gtst by the way

Cheers

yes they have spigot bearing or bush, would replace that also whilst you do clutch as only costs a couple of quid. an excedy clutch will be about £300. did mine myself if you strong enough to lift the gearbox off your chest, whilst lying on your back under the car.
