Best weekend of my life in amsterdam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As i said in some previous threads last weekend i went to a music festival just outside amsterdam. So thought i'd do a little write up.

Everything went preety smooth until we got off the plane onto amsterdam, when a friend suddenly realised he forgot his wallet. And had to scrounge and drink cheap spirits all weekend. So after the turmoil we sat in a bar, and calmed our nerves a little.

When it came to picking up our baggage the main suitcase was totalled, literally ripped to shreads with a ton of clothes hanging out. And Dutch people dont appear to take any sh!t, so we had no compensation.

We sorted everything out... brought another suitcase and made our way to 'Biddinghuizen' where we set up camp. BRILLIANT environment and atmosphere, it really is a beautiful country.

A for how the bands go....

Kooks, were preety good

Arctic monkeys, were good but didnt really get the crowd involved.

Massive attack, were astonishing OMG.

Scissor sisters were great, right at the front and barely missed the guys flying jock strap into the crowd

Bloc party, were terrible as were razorlight.

Last day headlined, and finished with Muse. Where i ended up drinking waaaaaay too much, and missing my flight, so ended up planning on having a lift back the following day with some friends.
Now..... Muse were preety fukin amazing, really was worth loosing the flight. BUT streets were INCREDIBLE. Ive never done any hard drugs, but the feeling i felt when they came on must have been just-like....last year mike skinner went off the rails, and didnt finish before he was boo'ed off stage.
This year he had 55,000 all lying on the floor singing a dance version of 'blinded by trhe lights'

......

As for the trip back... Ended up with a buckled, expensive TeamDynamics rim and missed 3 ferries because the computers where down... then shit really hit the fan and we hit a speed bump and burst the tire Resulting in a 36 hour journey in the back of a little fiesta which we couldnt drive faster than 50MPH on a spare wheel.

But.... same again next year

PS/ as for the town, i though amsterdam was overrated, preety boring full of old people, boats, and cheap tat shops with cannabis fridge magnets.
