vacuum pressure

I have just taken posession of my gt-r with a t88 turbo (I know WW2 stuff). The car absolutely explodes at 5000rpm, and as expected is quite laggy as compared to my last GT-SS equiped car (under 5000rpm). The vacuum pressure is is very mild on the big single (close to zero). Is this normal ???? I had much more 'suck' on the last car.....Cheers...Kev.
