On 10th october Japan will get new number plates.
I got this pic . . would look cool in black

Anyone in Japan knowing how they will look?

THey look like they have just added glo in the dark paint...

backlit numberplates have existed since the eighties. They have just halved the size of the thickness....I guess they probably use LED technology now. Always a favorite with the VIP boys....

I saw that news article too - it was my understanding the design of the plates hasn't changed, it was just they were adding several new tows/areas names that are available to register your car within...

Yes that's right...new areas like Narita now get a plate too
