glad somebody posted those pics, the chrome paint or chrome effect , as there are a few rainbow type chrome finishes also, have been around for a while. didn`t know it was illegal or are people just guessing?
It wasn`t all that much more expensive than say a flip paint job if my memory serves me correct.

It's not illegal in NZ............ it's not anywhere near as reflective as people think.......just looks it, but with direct light, it just spreads rather than reflecting back.
Everyone here told me it was illegal too but when I checked it was completly legal so I suspect it's the same there. Cost is about 300 quid a litre to buy and you'll need at least 4-5 litres to paint a GTR.... so I don't know how that compares. You also need the undercoat and then the black base coat before you put that on too so there's some extra cost there as it's best to use their black and clear coat also. There's a gallon kit for about 1200-1400 quid, but that wasn't enough to paint my Civic Type R so you'll need more than that for a GTR....
