Turbo Dampers

I think I need a turbo damper on my car. Since lagging the exhaust manifold and downpipe, my manifold keep blowing @ no 1 & 6.

I've spoken to a few chaps and they recommend fitting a turbo damper.

The thing is, I can only find cosworth dampers.

I will have to make my own, but what should I use?

I was always told that lagging the manifold caused far more probs than it cured because it holds the heat in the mani and so they crack far more frequently. Is the lagging really necessary on yours?

Well, no. I ran without lagging before. But after a quick sprint I opened the bonnet and was greeted my a bright red manifold and downpipe.

Really I wanted to keep the exhaust temps up to help reduce turbo lag.

My only concern is the thermocouple wires(which also have there one reflective heat shield) are only rated to 120deg C.
