Piper Cams

Piper list two different cam profiles for the R32 has anyone used either of these. They are priced far more realistically than the jap tuners. I have asked them if they would be able to reproduce an existing cam (i.e pon cams), awaiting feedback.

Piper Cams

Yes but they are reprofiled ,so the chances are the base circle is smaller and that could lead to problems with shims etc.

Forgot to say, I dont think you will copy a "poncam" out of a standard cam.

Yeah thats a good point, they might be able to produce one from a blank cheaper? I would think the contact area of the lobe would remain the same after reprofiling?

Piper have been going for a long time, I had their stage 2cam in the MK2Cortina GT which was my first car(1978).They used the standard cam and ground the heel to give more lift.
