you have to be in neutral to be able to take your foot off the clutch
you have to take your foot off the clutch WHILST blipping the throttle, in order to match transmission speed to the gear you are about to drop into
to explain:
in fourth gear, approaching third gear corner
begin braking (right foot)
clutch in (left foot), select neutral, still braking (right foot)
release clutch (left foot), transmission now in neutral, still braking (right foot)
now continue braking with inside of right foot and blip the throttle with the outside of the same foot (heel'n'toeing)
clutch in (left), into gear, release clutch as revs match road speed (still braking)
release brakes, turn in
