Suspension geometry/wheel alignment
Anyone know a really good place in Central Scotland that I can take my motor to, to get all the wheel alignment and what not checked and set up properly.
I took it to Kwik-Fit before Xmas and for the 'reasonable' price of 25 quid, the guy charged at the ramp at 8 million miles an hour, bounced my front bumper off it, then proceeded to 'align' my wheels without even checking any reference material to see what the proper settings should be. Can't imagine they get a lot of 32's in there, plus it's lowered, which will obviously affect things, so either he's a wheel alignment genius, or a pleb. I'd like to be able to take it somewhere that really knows their stuff and who can look it all over and make any neccesary adjustments it may need. |

Kenny Brown in hillington does a very good job on suspension setup. Been going for about 10 years.
He has just done all the suspension bushes plus fitted a tein kit on my R32.

Didn't seem to make a difference. I'm guessing that however much the wheels were out of alignment, he simply adjusted so they are now the same amount in the other direction.
Definitely wouldn't take my car back there again. Annoying thing is the garage I usually use for that kind of business would have done a great job, but my car was too low to go on their ramp. |

Thats a sh*t! My mate's mate is the manager at a kwik fit place where he has (apparently) one of the only two 4 wheel laser alignment machines in Britain.....I presume he means in kwik fit!! Dont think I'll bother now!!

I am a professional wheel alignment engineer.
Unfortunately i work on commercials but dont bother ever taking your car to any of the kwik fit type places! It is usually true that you get what you pay for. |

Think i will try Kenny Brown to, i had a new steering rack fitted in march and next day took car to kwikfit for two new tyres (Bridgestones) and allignment. " and a half months later and 2,000 miles later the tyres are completeley shredded on the inside, looks more like a 30k tyre. So kwikfit no more!
