Question Air-con removal

Hello.
Has anyone removed there air-con unit from there RB26 engine because my car is off the road and i have no need for it and was looking at doing it as a DIY job, but unsure weather its a easy job do with out having to get someone else to do it for a price.

Its easy and saves lots of weight.

Rad between water rad and I/C can go, plus all plumbing including the two pipes to the bulkhead. If you are really keen lose the pump as well.

A/C is for wimps, cook inside the car with the rest of us!

It's a piece of piss to remove. hardest part is getting rid of the AC rad.

is it really worth doing? i like my aircon personally, surly it wouldnt make much differance taking it off would it?

I removed mine too, a bit fiddley but quite easy and as the others have said it save's quite a bit of weight. The radiator is kept cooler and air flow to the air filter(s) is definately improved.
