N1 Water Pumps

Quick Question,

Any differences between the R32/33/34 Series of N1 Water Pump for RB26, or are they identical parts?

Cheers

Just one part AFAIK.
Only other pump is Group A R32 which has a different impeller with less blades and 4 lightening holes in the drive flange. They are extremely rare.

R32's are different but you can modify the R33/34 quite easy to fit a 32

The N1 pump has a slightly different bolt hole pattern that means one of the M6 bolts needs either a funny shaped washer, or the pump housing welding up and re-drilling to make it seal on a 32 block.

However do you need an N1 pump? The N1 pump has a different shaped impellor that makes it good for sustained high RPM work without cavitation. Unless you plan on running a lot of rev's for a long time (i.e. a race car) then it is not really needed.

Cheers guys. I've sourced a R32 N1 Pump (brand new)from a seller for quite cheap - cheaper than brand new stocker, and rebuilding my 32 motor so wanted to fit strong parts, will be using it on track a few times this summer, Cord (not excessive rpm) Does anyone have seperate images of N1 Pump compared to Stock Pump please , just so I can confirm the one I am buying is the N1 version. Thanks for your help.

When my water pump let go I was surprised to find the N1 pump was 1/3 the price of a stock R32 GTR pump and 1/2 the price of a GTS.

Bargains like that don't happen often in this game.
