Arrow Serious Performance Detailing Kit

Hi all,

Given that the weather has finally started to pick up and people want to keep their cars cleaner and looking good for the season ahead, I have put together a kit of SP's own products that will be perfect for the beginner and enthusiast alike, yet keeping to a very cometitive price against the usual high street retailers and products well above 'the norm' in terms of quality and ease of use either by hand or machine.

The kit consists of:
1x Serious Performance ph neutral Ultra Gloss Shampoo
1x Serious Performance Paint Cleanser (non abrasive)
1x Serious Performance Polymer Super Sealant
1x Serious Performance 100% Sheepskin Wash Mitt
1x Serious Performance Soft Bristled Wheel Brush
2x Serious Performance Terry Towel Applicators
3x Serious Performance 50 x 70 cm Microfibre Towels

Price: £35.95*
and can be found amonst our other car care kits here:
Products - Serious Performance

Any questions just let me know.

Cheers.
Alex.

* Individual product rrp is £40.51

Alex
Got one of these from your website last night/early this morning... Insomnia Rules!!

Was looking at the clay bar packs (bear in mind I've never used clay before), which one do you recommend Sonus or Prima, also was is the best choice of lubricant for whichever you say it better
Thanks
Roger

Hi Roger,

If you haven't clayed before, go for the Sonus green bar... It's finer than the Prima Grey bar and will be a better starting point. The grey bar is mean't more for neglected cars where you will be polishing afterwards anyway.....

For lubricant, go for Poorboys Spray & Wipe or Spray & Gloss. The Spray and Gloss if the surface is already in good nick or for newer cars.... The Spray & Wipe has a bit more cleaning power and works well with the finer grade clay to help remove more road grime and tar etc a bit more easily.

Hope that helps .

Alex, how does the green clay bar compare to the meguiars clay bar (abrasiveness).

Thanks

Hi Naz,

Nearer the grey clay but inbetween the green and grey generally speaking. The green is very fine but, thats what makes it so ideal for beginners or extremely well cared for cars.

Cheers.

Hi Roger,

No probs .

Cheque was returning one lot of postage so you didn't have to pay p+p twice, as it was treated as one order.

Cheers.

Hi Alex. I will be purchasing the kit from your website today, but just a few Q's regarding other bits i want to order with it.

exterior trim for the 32.. the ones below the window is getting really bad now...can you recommend the best product, and all the products i need to clean my double sixes... ( i see the kit comes with the wheel brush, but i think i remember you talking about some good products for the wheels...) and tyre care.. (i am a bit stumped with which product, the gel/cleaner spray???)

Thanks is advance..
Pierre

Hi Pierre,

Something like Clearkote Vinyl / Rubber Treatment or Poorboys Trim Restorer should help bring the window surrounds back to life... A couple of applications of applying, leave to dry for a few mins and then remove should do it, and they should help to remove any dirt etc as well. These products are a bit greasy if you get them on the windows or paint when wet so just make sure to have a clean cloth to hand.

For the wheels, I'd go with the Four Star Wheel Gel. It's ph neutral so is VERY kind to the wheels. You don't need alot of it per wheel, just a few squirts, and a paint brush to work it round the wheel, then rinse away..... I'd still rewash he wheels when you do the main car though... Just good practice. Once done and dry, you can either use a dedicated wheel sealant, or the sealant in the SP Kit will be fine to give them some lasting protection, and will help make them easier to clean in future.
If you want to dress the tyres is up to you...... You can use one of the above products you'd use for the trim, or I'd go with something like Poorboys Natural Look Dressing which gives a nice, matte look finish, and can be used on interior plastics, trim etc etc.

Hope that helps.
Alex .

Thanks Alex. I posted a reply this morning, but it seems to have gone(i think the mods must have deleted it when they got rid of the spam..)

I placed the order, and i ordered the Duragloss 831 Metal Cleaner & Brightener for my exhaust, would you recommend this for the exhaust, if not can you replace it with something more suitable...
Thanks
Pierre

Hi Pierre,

It should be fine.... It's a cleaner rather than a polish so it should remove most stuff barr any scratches and give a nice shine.
Once cleaned you can always apply the sealant to the exhaust as well just to give it some protection and make future cleaning easier, as with the wheels.

Many thanks! .
